LONDON RESTAURANTS ON MY *LIST*

Just a quick one from me today, and apologies, this post is more for me than you (kinda...). I have a mild panic rise inside me when my restaurant list gets too long - places I want to try that I haven't been to yet. I'm going to Bubbledogs chef's table next weekend (so excited!), which has long been on the list.

Here's my current list - do let me know if you've been to any of the below and what you thought. And please leave a comment if you've got any other places you think should be on there!

In no particular order....

Le Chateaubriand - not open yet but will be later this year
The Dairy - recommended by Michel Roux Jr
Duck & Waffle - may be impossible due to my fear of heights...

  1. You list looks a lot like mine! Kitty Fishers, Smoking Goat, A Wong, The Manor, The Dairy and The Five Field are all on my list as well as others that you've mentioned. I've been to Lima, Holborn Dining Room Kouzu, The Ledbury and Duck and Waffle and loved all of them! Great list!
    Lots of love,

    1. Thanks Angie - I want to go to all of them now!! Must have patience.... Went to Rex and Mariano tonight and it was so good - you'd love it, it's all fish and seafood, perfectly cooked and served simply to show the best of the amazing ingredients :)

  2. Oh wow I feel like by the time I move back to London next year I'm going to have such a huge restaurant hit-list I might spend all my waking hours trying to get to all of them!!

    So many good places!

  3. Oh wow this is a blog post for us too, so many wonderful places The Dairy and Rex and Mariano are high on my list. Like you I want to try the Duck and Waffle but for the same reason dining at heights is something I need to work up too. I want to go back to Le Gavroche and try Heatons Lucy x

    1. Thanks Suze - good to hear Michael Nadra is good, it looks great, but doesn't get much press! Yes, Honey and Co as well, missed that off the list...

  7. I really need to make a list. I'm useless when it comes to things like this but I really want to try and get a date booked in for once a week with my man and make the effort to try new restaurants!

    1. It's so easy to just go to the normal good places you already know, but I am 100% planning on ticking all of these off this year :)

  8. Great list! I would give Smoking Goat a miss though... Giles Coren's review totally misrepresents the whole experience which is haphazard and uncomfortable. Just did a review of it in case you want more info! Desperate to try Hedone too!

    1. Oh really, that's a shame - I've heard other people say good things about it too though, I guess it's each to their own, and can also depend on the night you go. I can't believe I still haven't been to Hedone as it's less than a mile from my house, but it is pricey so am saving up :)
